A Riddle for Your Thoughts
can you guess the mystery location?
As I’ve been writing more poetry and playing around with styles, I think I want to try writing more riddles. It isn’t something I normally think of as poetry, but the rhyme schemes and play on words encourage determined sleuths to uncover the hidden treasure hidden between the poetic prose.
So I invite you to learn some history with this one. Pack a fun fact in your back pocket with this compact tale. If you get this off the top of your dome, congratulations!! I’m impressed with your expansive knowledge of obscure (at least to me) bits of the past. But feel free to search the wide web for the answer and I’m sure you’ll come away with learning something new for the day. Enjoy!
A Riddle
Sometimes I'm in France
Sometimes I'm in Spain
depends on the season
and where I sit in the rain
A treaty to end a war
signed on my land
I have no inhabitants
tended only by garden hands
200m long
40m wide
I erode as time goes by
Who. am. I?
